- 1 Calculate the time elapsed from sunrise to birth time (in hours/minutes)
- 2 Convert this to Hora divisions (each Hora = 2.5 ghatis or ~1 hour)
- 3 Apply the formula considering odd/even signs
- 4 The resulting sign is Hora Lagna
