- Razorpay order and payment IDs
- We do not store your credit card numbers, UPI IDs, or bank account details — all payment processing is handled securely by Razorpay, a PCI DSS compliant payment gateway
User-Generated Content
- Questions asked to the AI astrologer chat
- Contact form submissions and feedback
- Support requests and correspondence
- Notes or labels you add to saved charts
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you access our Platform, we automatically collect certain technical information:
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type and version, screen resolution
- Network Information: IP address, approximate geographic location (city/country level, derived from IP)
- Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, time spent on pages, click patterns, referring URLs
- Session Data: Login timestamps, session duration, language preference
- Mobile App Data: App version, device model, push notification token (if notifications enabled)
2.3 Information From Third Parties
- Google OAuth: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account
- Razorpay: Payment confirmation status and transaction IDs

- Generate AI-powered predictions, remedies, and personalized astrological insights
- Provide transit analysis and annual forecasts based on your chart
3.2 Account Management
- Create and manage your user account
- Authenticate your identity and maintain secure sessions
- Process credit purchases and maintain transaction history
- Save and organize multiple birth charts under your account
- Sync data across web and mobile platforms
3.3 Communication
- Send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, payment receipts)
- Respond to your support requests and contact form submissions
- Send push notifications about saved charts, predictions, or platform updates (only if opted in)
- We do not send unsolicited marketing emails. You will only receive communications relevant to your account and usage.
3.4 Platform Improvement

ShreeKundli Engine & Data Processing
What is the ShreeKundli Engine?
The ShreeKundli Engine is our proprietary computation system that powers all astrological calculations on the platform. It is a combination of two core technologies:
- Swiss Ephemeris (SwissEph) — A high-precision astronomical calculation library developed by Astrodienst AG, used by professional astrologers and observatories worldwide. It computes exact planetary positions, house cusps, Nakshatras, and other astronomical data using the Lahiri Ayanamsa (Chitrapaksha), the official standard recognized by the Government of India. All computations happen locally on our servers — no birth data is sent to external astronomical services.
- AI Services — Advanced artificial intelligence models that interpret the astronomical data produced by Swiss Ephemeris. These AI models apply rules from classical Vedic texts (Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Phaladeepika, Saravali, and others) to generate human-readable predictions, remedies, and insights. The AI layer processes your chart data (planetary positions and house placements) to produce personalized interpretations.
When you use AI-powered features, a structured representation of your chart data (planetary positions, house lords, Dasha periods, and yogas — but never your raw personal details like name, email, or phone number) is sent to AI processing. The AI operates on astrological data, not personal identity.
AI-Powered Services & Your Data
Our AI features use third-party AI model providers to generate interpretations. Here is how your data is handled:
5.1 What Data Is Sent to AI
- Structured chart data: planetary positions (degrees, signs, houses), Nakshatra placements, Dasha periods, detected yogas, and house lordships
- Your specific question or analysis request (e.g., "career prediction for next 6 months")
- Your preferred language for the response
5.2 What Data Is NOT Sent to AI
- Your name, email address, phone number, or account credentials
- Your exact date, time, or place of birth in identifiable form
- Your payment information or transaction history
- Your IP address or device information
5.3 AI Provider Data Policies
We use API-based AI services from providers including Google (Gemini), Anthropic (Claude), and other providers via secure API connections. These providers:
- Process data under strict API terms of service that prohibit using customer data for model training
- Do not retain API input/output data beyond the immediate processing window
- Are bound by their respective privacy policies and data protection commitments
5.4 AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
AI-generated predictions, remedies, and insights are for informational and entertainment purposes. They should not be considered professional advice for medical, legal, financial, or other critical decisions. Astrology is an interpretive art, and AI interpretations represent one possible reading of your chart data.
Data Storage & Security
We take the security of your data seriously and implement multiple layers of protection:
6.1 Technical Security Measures
- Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS (TLS 1.2+)
- Encryption at Rest: Sensitive data including birth details and chart data is encrypted in our database
- Password Security: Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and are never stored in plain text
- Secure Authentication: We use HTTP-only, secure, SameSite cookies with sliding expiration. API access uses encrypted JWT tokens
- Rate Limiting: API endpoints are protected against brute-force attacks and abuse through request rate limiting
6.2 Infrastructure Security
- Our servers and database infrastructure are hosted in secure data centers
- Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only

Payment Processor — Razorpay
When you purchase credits, your payment is processed by Razorpay, a PCI DSS Level 1 compliant payment gateway. We share your name and email for transaction purposes. We never access or store your card details, UPI credentials, or bank account numbers.
Email Service
We use SMTP-based email services to send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, payment receipts). Only your email address and the email content are shared with the email service.
Push Notifications — Firebase Cloud Messaging
If you enable push notifications on our mobile app, we use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) by Google to deliver notifications. Only your device token and notification content are shared — no personal data.
Analytics — Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns (page views, feature popularity, geographic distribution). This collects anonymized data. We do not enable advertising features or user-ID tracking. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
AI Model Providers
As described in Section 5, structured chart data (not personal identity) is sent to AI providers for generating predictions. These providers do not retain or train on our API data.
7.1 Legal Disclosure
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law or respond to valid legal processes
- Protect the rights, property, or safety of ShreeKundli, our users, or the public
- Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues
7.2 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on our Platform before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Children's Privacy
ShreeKundli is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.
Parents or guardians may create birth charts for their children using their own account. In such cases, the parent or guardian is responsible for the child's data and can delete it at any time.
If you believe a child under 13 has created an account or submitted personal data, please contact us at support@shreekundli.com so we can take appropriate action.
International Users
ShreeKundli is operated from India and our servers are located in India. If you are accessing our Platform from outside India, please be aware that your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in India where our servers are located.
By using our Platform, you consent to the transfer of your information to India and acknowledge that your data will be processed in accordance with Indian data protection laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA), and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
11.1 For European Users (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our legal basis for processing your data is:
