Based on the relationship between Lagna lord and Moon

  1. 1 Find the Lagna (Ascendant) lord
  2. 2 Note the position of Lagna lord from Lagna (count signs)
  3. 3 Multiply this count by the position of Moon from Lagna
  4. 4 Add this product to the Lagna
  5. 5 The resulting sign (mod 12) is Shree Lagna

Formula: SL = Lagna + (Lagna Lord position from Lagna × Moon position from Lagna)

Scenario: Aries Lagna, Mars in 5th (Leo), Moon in 3rd (Gemini)

Calculation: 5 × 3 = 15, 15 mod 12 = 3

Result: Count 3 from Aries = Gemini. Shree Lagna is in Gemini
