"Positional Strength"

Shadbala Component Positional Strength Weight: Typically contributes 25-35% of total Shadbala depending on the planet

Overview

Sthana Bala measures the strength a planet derives from its position in the zodiac, houses, and divisional charts. It is the most complex of the six Balas, comprising five sub-components that together assess positional dignity.

Principle
A planet's position in exalted signs, friendly signs, own signs, and favorable houses increases its ability to produce beneficial results. Debilitation and enemy signs weaken the planet.
Importance
Sthana Bala often contributes the largest portion to total Shadbala. A planet with high positional strength is considered well-placed and capable of fulfilling its significations.
Weightage
Typically contributes 25-35% of total Shadbala depending on the planet
