Om kanyāṃ kanakasampannāṃ kanakābharaṇairyutām | Dāsyāmi viṣṇave tubhyaṃ brahmalokajigīṣayā ||
I give this daughter, endowed with gold and golden ornaments, to you as Vishnu, with the desire to attain Brahmaloka.
ॐ गृभ्णामि ते सौभगत्वाय हस्तं मया पत्या जरदष्टिर्यथासः । भगो अर्यमा सविता पुरन्धिर्मह्यं त्वादुर्गार्हपत्याय देवाः ॥
Om gṛbhṇāmi te saubhagatvāya hastaṃ mayā patyā jaradaṣṭiryathāsaḥ | Bhago aryamā savitā purandhirmahyaṃ tvādurgārhapatyāya devāḥ ||
I take your hand for good fortune, that you may grow old with me as your husband. Bhaga, Aryaman, Savita, Purandhi - the gods have given you to me for householder life.
ॐ एकमिषे विष्णुस्त्वान्वेतु । द्वे ऊर्जे विष्णुस्त्वान्वेतु । त्रीणि व्रताय विष्णुस्त्वान्वेतु । चत्वारि मायोभवाय विष्णुस्त्वान्वेतु । पञ्च पशुभ्यो विष्णुस्त्वान्वेतु । षड् रायस्पोषाय विष्णुस्त्वान्वेतु । सप्त सप्तभ्यो होत्राभ्यो विष्णुस्त्वान्वेतु ॥
Om ekamṣe viṣṇustvānvetu | Dve ūrje viṣṇustvānvetu | Trīṇi vratāya viṣṇustvānvetu | Catvāri māyobhavāya viṣṇustvānvetu | Pañca paśubhyo viṣṇustvānvetu | Ṣaḍ rāyaspoṣāya viṣṇustvānvetu | Sapta saptabhyo hotrābhyo viṣṇustvānvetu ||
With first step, may Vishnu follow for food. With second, for strength. With third, for vows. With fourth, for happiness. With fifth, for cattle. With sixth, for prosperity. With seventh, for the seven Hotra sacrifices.
सखायौ सप्तपदा भव । सख्यं ते गमेयम् । सख्यात्ते मायोषं । सख्यान्मे मायोष्ठाः ॥
Sakhāyau saptapadā bhava | Sakhyaṃ te gameyam | Sakhyātte māyoṣaṃ | Sakhyānme māyoṣṭhāḥ ||
With these seven steps you have become my friend. May I attain your friendship. May I not be separated from your friendship. May you not be separated from my friendship.
ॐ ध्रुवमसि ध्रुवाहं पतिकुले भूयासम् । पुत्राणां माता भूयासम् ॥
Om dhruvamasi dhruvāhaṃ patikule bhūyāsam | Putrāṇāṃ mātā bhūyāsam ||
You are firm (Pole Star); may I be firm in my husband's family. May I become a mother of sons.
