Santoshi Mata Vrat Katha is dedicated to Goddess Santoshi Mata, the daughter of Lord Ganesha. This vrat is observed on 16 consecutive Fridays for fulfillment of wishes. Santoshi Mata is believed to grant contentment, happiness, and fulfill the desires of her devotees. The word 'Santoshi' means one who gives satisfaction or contentment. This vrat gained immense popularity after the 1975 Hindi film 'Jai Santoshi Maa' and is now one of the most widely observed Friday fasts in North India.
