Vrat Katha Lord Vishnu (Anant - The Infinite One)

About

Anant Chaturdashi is a significant Hindu festival observed on the 14th day (Chaturdashi) of Shukla Paksha (waxing moon) in the month of Bhadrapada. This day marks the conclusion of the ten-day Ganesh Chaturthi festival when Lord Ganesha idols are immersed in water. However, Anant Chaturdashi is primarily dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his form as 'Anant' (The Infinite/Endless One). The vrat involves worshipping Lord Anant (Vishnu reclining on the serpent Shesha) and tying a sacred thread called 'Anant Sutra' with 14 knots on the right arm. This vrat is believed to bring infinite blessings, prosperity, and protection. It is traditionally observed for 14 consecutive years.
