About
Agni Suktam is the very first hymn of the Rig Veda, the oldest of the Vedas, making it one of the most ancient and sacred texts in human history. This hymn glorifies Agni, the Fire God, who is the divine messenger between humans and gods, the priest of all sacrifices, and the bestower of wealth and wisdom. Agni is invoked first in all Vedic rituals as he carries the offerings to the gods.
अग्नि सूक्त ऋग्वेद का पहला सूक्त है, जो सबसे प्राचीन वेद है, इसे मानव इतिहास के सबसे प्राचीन और पवित्र ग्रंथों में से एक बनाता है। यह सूक्त अग्नि देव की स्तुति करता है, जो मनुष्यों और देवताओं के बीच दिव्य दूत हैं, सभी यज्ञों के पुरोहित हैं, और धन तथा ज्ञान के दाता हैं। सभी वैदिक कर्मकांडों में अग्नि का आवाहन सबसे पहले किया जाता है क्योंकि वे आहुतियों को देवताओं तक पहुँचाते हैं।

ॐ अग्निमीळे पुरोहितं यज्ञस्य देवमृत्विजम्। होतारं रत्नधातमम्॥१॥
Om Agnim ile purohitam yajnasya devam ritvijam | Hotaram ratnadhatamam ||1||
अग्निः पूर्वेभिरृषिभिरीड्यो नूतनैरुत। स देवाँ एह वक्षति॥२॥
Agnih purvebhir rishibhir idyo nutanairuta | Sa devan eha vakshati ||2||
अग्निना रयिमश्नवत्पोषमेव दिवे दिवे। यशसं वीरवत्तमम्॥३॥
Agnina rayimashnvat poshameva dive dive | Yashasam viravattamam ||3||
अग्ने यं यज्ञमध्वरं विश्वतः परिभूरसि। स इद्देवेषु गच्छति॥४॥
Agne yam yajnam adhvaram vishvatah paribhurasi | Sa id deveshu gachchhati ||4||
अग्निर्होता कविक्रतुः सत्यश्चित्रश्रवस्तमः। देवो देवेभिरा गमत्॥५॥
Agnirhota kavikratuh satyash chitrashravastamaḥ | Devo devebhira gamat ||5||
यदङ्ग दाशुषे त्वमग्ने भद्रं करिष्यसि। तवेत्तत्सत्यमङ्गिरः॥६॥
Yadanga dashushe tvam agne bhadram karishyasi | Tavet tat satyam angirah ||6||
उप त्वाग्ने दिवे दिवे दोषावस्तर्धिया वयम्। नमो भरन्त एमसि॥७॥
Upa tvagne dive dive doshavastar dhiya vayam | Namo bharanta emasi ||7||
राजन्तमध्वराणां गोपामृतस्य दीदिविम्। वर्धमानं स्वे दमे॥८॥
Rajantam adhvaranam gopam ritasya deedivim | Vardhamanam sve dame ||8||
स नः पितेव सूनवेऽग्ने सूपायनो भव। सचस्वा नः स्वस्तये॥९॥ ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः॥
