About
The Gayatri Mantra is one of the most sacred and ancient mantras in Hinduism. It is a prayer to Savitri, the solar deity, seeking divine illumination of the intellect. It is also personified as Goddess Gayatri, the mother of the Vedas. It is considered the essence of all Vedic knowledge.
