Dhyan Sadguru (Spiritual Teacher)

About

Guru Dhyan is a profound meditation practice dedicated to the Guru - the spiritual teacher who dispels the darkness of ignorance and illuminates the path to self-realization. In the Vedic tradition, the Guru is revered as the manifestation of the divine trinity - Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva - and is considered even greater, for the Guru reveals the ultimate truth. The word 'Guru' itself means 'dispeller of darkness' (gu = darkness, ru = remover). This meditation involves visualizing the Guru seated in the sahasrara chakra (crown of the head), radiating divine light and wisdom. Through devoted meditation on the Guru's form, teachings, and grace, the disciple awakens to higher consciousness and receives the transmission of spiritual knowledge (shaktipat).
