Ganesh Dhyanam contains sacred meditation verses for contemplating the divine form of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and lord of beginnings. These dhyana shlokas beautifully describe Ganapati's unique form - his elephant head with large ears representing wisdom, single tusk symbolizing non-duality, large belly containing all universes, four arms holding the modaka (sweet), broken tusk, noose, and goad, his mouse vehicle representing controlled desires. Through meditation on Ganesha's form, devotees remove mental and spiritual obstacles, gain wisdom, and receive blessings for all new undertakings.
